Northfield Shares Featured in Northfield News Ames Fund Article

Northfield Shares was recently featured in a Northfield News article spotlighting the important impact of the Ames Fund of The Minneapolis Foundation on local nonprofit organizations and the community as a whole. Thus far, the Ames Fund, which was established by a family with a fondness for the city of Northfield, has distributed more than $1 million to local organizations, including approximately $190,000 to Northfield Shares over three years.
Northfield Shares has started distributing some of those funds into the community. Of the $68,619 in grants Northfield Shares awarded to 15 area nonprofits in 2017, a total of $10,000 came directly from the Ames Fund.
